Business Development Manager Job in Bognor Regis, West Sussex / Hybrid 

Salary: Β£50,000 – Β£60,000 + commission + bonus + hybrid working + progression opportunities + international travel + hybrid working (1+ days in the office)  

Business Development Manager job based in Bognor Regis, West Sussex. Selling gate hardware to manufacturers and distributors internationally. The role offers scope for further progression to management level.

Established for over 30 years, they are a successful business with a solid reputation in their industry and have ambitious growth plans over the next 5 years. This role will be purely focused on generating new business, working alongside an existing Key Account Manager. You will also have input into the development of new products and new markets and they are currently focusing on manufacturers and distributors in the UK, Europe, US and Australian markets.

About the role: 

– Reporting to Managing Director level, you will be responsible for generating new business globally

– Approaching cold and warm prospects via email, phone and face to face

– Attending relevant networking events or exhibiting at shows

– Utilising the CRM system to manage your sales pipeline

– Following up on inbound leads from the marketing team

– Working to KPIs

– Sales reporting.

The ideal candidate: 

– 3+ years’ experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Field Sales Manager or Specification Sales Manager

– Ideally experience selling to manufacturers that supply to the construction sector

– Consultative and friendly sales approach 

– Ideally keen to work towards a management role in the next 3-5 years

– Must have the flexibility to travel internationally 

– Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated

– Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM Systems.

Benefits:

– Salary Β£50,000 – Β£60,000 (Up to Β£78,500 OTE in first year)

– Uncapped commission 2.5% on all new revenue

– Quarterly bonus scheme (Up to 10% of salary)
